From Abby - THAT'S VIAL
The housing Coordinators Sister and Elder Heslington took us out for lunch since sister Orton is almost done (Perks of Killing off someone) The office staff are literally CELEBRITIES because every missionary knows them. I felt famous.
my FAV part of the week
EXCHANGES WITH SISTER ATWOOD
I know she's not a trainee anymore but she will ALWAYS be my lil rat trainee in my heart.
SO many miracles with this girl and her confidence is already through the roof since we've been together. She's grown so much and I'm SO SO SO SO SO PROUDDD ahhh.
I can't wait to be an actual mom because this is like the smallest scale and i'm freaking out.
some awesome things
-We went to the cottages (Sketch) to find a little set up of people selling things which is cool and our Satanist friend Natalia SPAWNS (Jump scare) She decides to browse with us and tell us about her beliefs about how a serpant circled the earth and a fire was born in its belly and that's how the earth was formed. Also how she searches for charms and amulets for her witchcraft... ? SLAY. She also gave us relationship advice and I was DEF thinking the whole time "Thank you. I will be taking non of this"
-We went to a Cinco de mayo party and talked with SO many people.
-Got a suprise text from a record removal in our area named Shelby requesting a spontaneous meeting!! FIRST of all we biked down a hill for like 10 minutes from the tippy top of our area to the bottom and honestly the slanting sun over the roads and green tree's biking downhill. I felt like I was in a movie
We chatted with Shelby and heard her story. She cried as she explained the sorrow that she's had to pass through and the regret she has felt from removing her records. Atwood and I were able to comfort her as we had TAUGHT a record removal in our last area!? We were able to reassure her that her emotions where valid and that we can look for solutions with her.
Gods hand that Sister Atwood was with me for the night, Co empathy is the best.

When Sister Bowser picked us up post exchanges we drove by sister Ortiz's house and SAW them?! Bowser asked if we should turn around and I said YES
We had a spontanous super fast chat and hugs. SO grateful for Utah missions

I don't even know whats happening.. I'm currently surrounded by the noise of happy missionaries
Last Pday was SO strange. Of course president Brown decided that Cinco de Mayo would be celebrated by a 3v3 basketball tournament.. I cant believe that i spent 3 hours of my Pday watching Elders show off their basketball skills It was SO GOOD to see other missionaries that I LOVE SO MUCH. Specifically Sister Ortiz. Tell me why I felt like I was with my mom and felt like crying because shes a literal safe space to me now

This week we ran into a guy named shane who we'd actualy met before in his nicer house (Has since downsized) he lives in the cottages now and when we made some small talk with him we mentioned how we discovered a LOT of very fat worms in our basement starewell..
he says "You should bring me some for my fishing!". We've been trying to win this guy over for a bit so thats EXACTLY what we did.. Sister Orton wrangled the worms into a tuppaware and we brought Shane some worms.. When we called him and said "Hey we're here with your worms.." he said "Are you Serious?!" In the most excited voice.. I LOVE random acts of kindness

went on exchanges with Sister Briggs this week!! We planned a lesson on baptism in like 20 minutes and then went over to sister Kemps house for Georgia's lesson
We decided to have the lesson on Sister Kemps trampoline thats in the ground.. At that point the lesson could not have gone bad XD
We taught her about K A and T (of course gave her a Kit Kat) and talked about the promises that we make when we're baptised! We read in 2 Nephi 31 and the importance off baptism because Jesus did it!
Georgia goes "When can I be baptised?!" and so the conversation opened up and i felt the world get brighter as Georgia DEMANDED she got baptised this week!! We put her on date for the 31st :)

That same night we went out with a member that was semi skeptical to join us. She suggested that we visit this one lady (Totally off our radar) who invited us in and explains some CRAZY health challanges that her husband was experiencing. We visited with her for a bit when the EQP Brother Loosli shows up!?!? We were able to stay for a blessing for both the lady and her husband. At the end I pointed out to our member "This is why we bring members with us, Sister Orton and I never would have thought to come here!" She seemed pleasently suprised and said "This was actually really special, thanks for bringing me :)" YAY for testimonies of missionary work in the works.
I was also to bake some cookies for the fam and nothing bad can come from Oatmeal chocolate chip cookies (Unless.. you're ellergic)
We ended the exchange on an awesome note as we talked about some hard questions that have been on our minds.. like
-How do I feel like I'm doing enough, allowing and creating space for imperfection and mortality, while also striving for that perfection outlined by Jesus Christ?

Our landlords have this sprinkler system that comes on now that it's getting warmer, the other night we came home to the sprinkler spraying the ENTIRE path to the basement, its happened twice now and Orton and I just SPRINT. Nothing like the cool spray of a sprinker in +30 weather!!
We saw our landlords today and they said they heard our squeels.. so THAT was humbling :)
We did service this week at a LITERAL Stardew valley harvest moon type farm. We painted a fense while their bratty little girl Loosi gave us some major sass. I thought I was so cool as a sassy little girl but no I was just straight up annoying. Hind sight is 20/20 FR
we had an AWESOME ZDC this week. Elder Cease and Elder Stansel gave a training on Confidence in Christ
I love something Elder Cease pointed out
1 Nephi 3:7 is the classic where Nephi states "I will go and do" But in verse FIFTEEN is where his confidence in christ shines. for he states with equal confidence even AFTER FAILURE:
"But behold I said unto them that: As the Lord liveth, and as we live, we will not go down unto our father in the wilderness until we have accomplished the thing which the Lord hath commanded us."
Nephi Is an absolute legend.
I love Zone and District council. This one especially was spirit filled and inspiring. I love being surrounded by missionaries

Orton and I where an HOUR LATE to a member meal with the Looslis.. they were forgiving as we DEVOURED breakfast for dinner. The quote of the night was
"Wow who left all these buckler shaped notes on my door." I don't know how we got there but it was AWESOME. we love the looslis :)
On sunday we met with Kory and got SOREN ON DATE FOR AUGUST 2ND?!??!? YAYYYYYYYYYYYYY
