From Abby - Procrastinated
Its 10:35 so i'd say thats absolutely better than last week. (*current Abby is crying)
Today has been SUCH a good day. I think i'm beginning to feel the shell of old abby slowly peeling off nad falling behind me to reveal someone who's maybe catching a tiny glimpse of what god has in store for her... It feels so good to be changed.
BEFORE I FORGET
Thursday morning LAST WEEK (May 30th)
We get a knock on the door thats DEF Sister Ortons knock.. I run up, FLING open the door and there she is with SISTER ELLIS?!?!?!?
Best believe I placed down my protein muffin to CAREEN myself into her arms.
Emmediatly we started right back up where we've left off. She's still my sister Ellis
Accept... she's actually Madi :)
We convinced her to come to lunch after our Pday activity and its easy to say that I want this woman to dot my life.
The Pday activity last week was CRIMINALLY long but oh so enjoyable.
Someone decided that we needed to drive for 20 minutes already to Alpine to go on a hike to Horsetail falls.
Silly silly Abby didn't eat sufficient breakfast (a banana and peanutbutter square) and we're literally NOT even half way through the hike and I'm literally completely unwell.
I sat on this sad little rock in the middle of the path and felt a wave of Nausia come over me
I giggle thinking about what I looked like just a sweaty little rat sitting on a little rock.. with little breakfast in her stomach.
LUCKILY I didn't throw up but I was sufficiently humbled...
No worries though because Elder Lowry brought pickles as a hiking snack and I DEVOURED that pickle happily. I also ate trailmix. Food is my savior.
Slay not being fit whatsoever
Jokes its fine.. I'm fine.
We sat in the mist and marvelled at the beauty of the earth :) So grateful for my wonderful district. And for Elders who hike a little slower out of some kind place in their heart for lagging hikers :)
Don't ask me how I hiked with my hair mostly down.
But yes Sister Ellis joined us for lunch after and we munched mexicain while reminiscing and wondering about where all the time went.
We had a criminal weekly planning with the sisters where we broke into the chapel and on seperate parts of the room planned for the week. They brought us dutch bros
THEN sister Peterson and I had to have a comp council because i felt like she was mad at me :)
I don't think I'll ever discover the balance between feeling sensative and having an ITCHING DYING urge to comunicate every single one of my feelings. I hope that makes sense :)
We were able to have two AWESOME lessons with our little friend Georgia. Everytime we have a lesson we pull up to cottages and she comes running out totally ready for a lesson.
This week we started teaching the plan of salvation and Sister Peterson layed out a cute little wooden version she has
at the very end we were talking about the Celestial Kingdom and sister peterson placed a little Jesus Figurine. Georgia commented on how there should be a little God figurine and Sister Peterson whips out ANOTHER tiny little Figurine :) We all laughed because none of us were expecting it. We then started talking about the Holy ghost and we were like "Well I guess he doesn't get a figurine since he doesn't have a body" and Georgia goes "Awe :(" Sister Peterson whips out ANOTHER LITTLE JESUS
We were all laughing as the sun slanted over the picnic table :)
I'm grateful for Gods PLan of salvation.
We went out with Sister Allen (Who just transfered back to service) and we DEVOURED trio teaching. We had 3 lessons in one night and it was a LOT of teaching but it was sooo much fun. Trio power is real.
We have one ward in our area thats POPPING OFF. It started by trying to meet with the Elders quorum president and then he suggested we invite the Ward mission leader. And then the Relief society president, Bishop, and secratary came. Sister Peterson and I sat in wonder as we watched these ward leaders brainstorm, talk about action items, and make assignments. i think this is the first time in my mission where i've seen the excitement of misionary work in a ward
IT IS POWERFUL
The electricity of the spirit is REAL
"Spine tingling" as President Nelson would say :) (Revelation for the church revelation for our lives talk.. April 2018.. I think.. I don't have time to check.)

TRAGEDY STRUCK
on wednesday we were walking to a meeting with a primary president down the road, as we're walking we discover a literal FLOCK of baby quail with their parents.. At first we were like "Ohhh so cute" until we realised the parents were bursting a blood vessel and the children were more scattered than israel.
They were running here there and everywhere and EVEN chilling on Sister Petersons foot?? (I think their feet were burning up. RIP.)
As sister Peterson is attempting to rescue a stray chick I observe one running trying to catch up to the flock. I watch as it literally stumbles over a couple of the medel bars of a STORM DRAIN and FALL?!?!? I ran up to the storm drain to hear the panicked chirping slowly silence.
I honestly feel SO uncute typing this
It was tragic.
I.. will never be the same :(((((

I LOVE our senior couple.
Heres a Sister Ellis Shoutout
Whenever the Ellis's come to ZDC she brings homemade bread and I literally could cry its so good
How could you not feel comforted by this photo. I sure am.
Friday morning we were able to break into a chapel in GENEVA HEIGHTS (Shoutout Elder Bye's baby area)
It was the direct halfway point between our are and Sister Lords area! We kind of made her accompany this whole musical number thing we're doing. I asked my father to print of a Piano, Viola, Voice arrangment which we gave to sister Lord and said "Good luck queen because this is complex" she said "Bet."
It was lovely to just let ourselves work through the peice. I'm nervous as beans to sing but I'm sure it'll all work out :)
We went to a lesson with Miss Tillman and her grandkids and we knock on the door to discover that they didn't think there was a lesson XD We love lil mishaps
We were able to visit with miss Tillman and I LOVE listening to that lady talk. She shared her experiences of friendship and her experience with giving everything to God.
Shes not a member but she's got MUCH more figured out than a lot of members I've met!
We didn't have a lesson with the kids but we had a meaningful conversation. I know god is in the details
We were able to do service for Sister Seegmiller!! The lady who bashed us for an hour!! It was actually SO fun. We stained.
She invited us for dinner and actually had a lovely time even though she was swearing up a storm and border line making fun of the word of wisdom.

She said shed invite us for dinner sometime so THATS a win :)
We brought a Young Women out with us this week and we had to walk around because she didn't have a car, It wasn't thrilling but we were able to get to know her! THEN on sunday the Stake did an Ultimate mission prep which was IMPRESSIVE. Like 100 youth from the stake all signed up for an entire day of mission prep, 2.5 hours of the day is spent with missionaries and that SAME young women was assigned to us!!!
Sunday morning we had NOTHING In the schedule. By the time they came we had 3 member messages, a LESSON, and some genuine knocking
We laughed at one of the young women, after the 3rd door that didn't answer she was like "We're not having very much luck.." GIRL
The way I'm way too used to people not answering is concerning :)
Before i'd even THOUGHT about bucking lafter we got back to the car one of the young women would say "Okay!! Where are we off to next!"
brethren let me look.
I'm complaining but it was SUPER fun. They both had so much energy and one said "I can actually change peoples lifes.." YESSS YES YES

One verse really fast
I finished the book of mormon this week and I'm excited to start it again to start the quest of marking EVERY name of Christ and God
BUT at the very end of Ether, after Moroni has abridged basically the entirety of the Jaredite record and the joys and wars of THAT

BUT at the very end of Ether, after Moroni has abridged basically the entirety of the Jaredite record and the joys and wars of THAT
He decides to quote ether Directly for the very last line. This is the verse: Ether 15:34
"Now the last words which are written by Ether are these: Whether the Lord will that I be translated, or that I suffer the will of the Lord in the flesh, it mattereth not, if it so be that I am saved in the kingdom of God. Amen"
How can I achieve that confidence?
Anyways. Another on the line email, criminally edited and rushed beyond desired detail, but completed nonetheless.
I love the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
Its true!
