From Abby - Boots and Cats

What you will find below is a miraculous week filled with light 

and or course, any miraculous week filled with light starts with thrifting 

which this week did! As a district! al the way up in the American Fork DI!

I should of suspected but about 11 minutes into thrifting Elder Drysdale petitioned all the missionaries to buy Silly outfits and then randomize trying them on 

I was somehow the only missionary that didn't take him seriously, so pretty soon I found myself in a chapel with munches and a bunch of FOOLS

I also had a mini crisis talking to my family, we're planning the logistics of me coming home and what we're going to do the month after etc. 
You can imagine my terror when my Sister Stephanie sent into the family chat 

"We just bought flights to visit for Abby's homecoming! We'll get there late on March 3rd, and leave in the afternoon of March 11th."

Screaming in terror and excitement 

That night we had our FIRST lesson with a girl we've been trying to meet with for like 3 months and she looks at us when we asked about her goals and says 
"I want to come to church more"

We had a lesson with our recent convert Debbie (Who's like 70) and we talked with her about the temple! We had heard from the senior couple as well as her ministering Sister that she was scared to go and Sister Williams says "Oh let me talk to Debbie" the moment we sit down and ask for it she goes "I'm not scared, lets do it"

It's a spell I tell you 

Debbie pulled out her lil paper temple recommend and Sister Rhinehart inquired about a case to which Debbie responded with a shrug.. 2 seconds later Sister Rhinehart was rummaging in her wallet for her OWN temple recommend holder and gave it to Debbie! Sweet selfless companion <3

Sister Williams and I were asked to do a training at Zone conference on our sacred stewardship with our recent converts which topic I LOVE (Mostly because I adore all my recent converts)
We procrastinated until Tuesday night but it was SO fun to plan. We got our whiteboards out, and brainstormed.

We quickly concluded that if we went to high school together we probably would have destroyed the group projects! 
Nothing like low lighting, bouncing off ideas, and laughing with each other about the silliest things :)

We called up our friend Leah LAST minute and basically begged on our hands and knees for her to come and share her story for our training.. Like the goated recent convert she is she said yes!

The next day was zone conference and OH its always so Joyful 

also I feel like I was JUST writing about zone conference... Time is going entirely too fast. 

We discussed the Living Christ all together and I wanted to say how much I LOVE the living Christ.

We also did roleplays on front of the whole conference practicing door contacts with prez.. shaking in my boots

Favorite line from giving the training is we were talking about the worth of souls and i kid you not the two gingers in the whole mission raise their hands.. it was too good not to say "speaking of souls" .. everyone laughed and I admit it i felt cool 

Thursday we went out with Annie (fire yw who came to zone conference) and had TWO spontaneous LMPS with people who spoke Spanish.. Annie came in CLUTCH

I don't care of you're called English speaking Spanish is so helpful. 

The wind was slicing but we BALL. 

Had a lesson with our semi skeptical friend Lexi who scooters through the cold independent of her parents to meet with us..

She always has bows in her hair and she's SO cute. 

We had that lesson when you see their whole countenance change.. she was talking about serving a mission?! Girls not even baptized yet

When we asked if she would like to say the closing prayer she said yes with a big smile?! We were all lowkey shocked.. but also joyful. 

Got our colors analyzed

I'm a true spring? Or something like that

Went on exchanges with Sister Secrist 

We SNATCHED her into our area and saw MIRACLES. 

Felt prompted to go see this GHOST of a man Orlando and pulled up to Sister McCleskeys house to get her to come with us 

She said "I have 7 minutes" and we said "YES COME" her response? Baby in arms? "Let me get my coat" LEGEND 

We DID see Orlando and scheduled a time to come back. When we send her a thank you text she said 

"Aw! I love you guys 

And no. Jesus works the miracles  we just showed up with our meager loaves and tiny fishes. And for Him, that's always enough."

We also united with the legend Mitch 

When we thanked him he said 

"Saving the world  one person at a time. Thanks for helping us, Sisters"

AH it just makes my heart GLOW 

I love being a member of this church. 

When we got home to exchange back Sister Dodge and Sister Hethcote were JAMMING and I joined them a bit :)

Honored to associate myself with them 

We went to the temple with Victor Saturday morning!! 

We had a scare when we met with him Friday and he said he hadn't gotten a temple recommend.. HUH!? After calling a couple people we realized that he just hadn't picked it up *PHEW* 

After I was baptized I stood like a drowned rat to watch Victor baptize Mitch 

He did it with one Arm and mitch crouched under the water..

Its powerful that the ONLY thing that matters (besides saying the prayer right and holding your arm to the square) is being fully emersed.

Do you remember Fous? 

His adopted Sister (not actually but his American family) asked president if she could go out with some fire Sisters and apperently thats us!! 

She joined us for a lesson with our Hatian friend Francz and drops "Yeah I know some Hatian Creole" 

We soft commited Francz to baptism in that lesson. CRAZY. 

She was so bold with another lady that she agreed to being taught?? WILD.

There was a RICHIE SAUNDERS devotional Sunday night (what's with all these BYU Basketball players) 

We helped with the ushering and got to stay for the devotional. 

There were people on the ground, stairs, standing, outside.. FILLED the basement of the building etc. It was so so soooo powerful to sing with all the youth and see them in determination standing to sing "called to serve"

Daily I am reminded of how great this work is. 

Oh how I love this Gospel
